Career Day
05.13.2015

Sarai Akin speaks to students at EJ Moss about her job as a Landscape Architect and Planner at Adams during their annual Career Day. The students were engaged and very interested in how planners, landscape architects, engineers & architects are designing a better, more sustainable world. At the end of the presentation, Sarai challenged the students to a park design contest with the winner receiving a cash prize, Adams t-shirt and bragging rights to the entire 4th grade. The entries will be collected Friday, May 15 with the winning designer announced Monday, May 18th.

A side note: after talking non-stop for 2 ½ hours to over 300 students, Sarai was reminded of the challenging job that our teachers face every day. So if you haven’t recently, thank a teacher for their hard work and dedication! Adams appreciates our teachers and salutes them today!

Adams, working alongside our partner Huckabee Architects, completed the site engineering and landscape design for the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD’s new Auxiliary Services Facility (ASF). This project was part of HEB’s 2011 Bond Program and is Adams’ third project completed with the school district. Adams is proud to have been a part of this great project. The ribbon cutting was held on February 1, 2014 at the new facility at 1350 W. Euless Blvd in Euless, Texas.
