Adams Engineering & Development Consultants provided civil engineering, landscape architecture and consulting services for Cumberland Park, a private 385-acre Planned Commercial Development (PCD) with municipal sidewalk and roads surrounding the development.
The site is a regional lifestyle shopping center featuring commercial, retail, and entertainment venues; hotels; professional offices; and high-end multi-family residential, recreational, and civic facilities. The mixed-use center is geographically situated to be the prime retail center in East Texas. Development guidelines required preservation of existing vegetation on each building site, with green space requirements in excess of minimum percentages required by City ordinance. Recreating the look and feel of the original Tyler downtown was a primary theme throughout the design of the amenities and features which were incorporated into the street median landscaping and common areas.
